Hi, I'm Rémy!
Growing up in rural Southwestern Ontario, I’ve been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember. Observation has always been one of my strengths—I vividly recall making both mental and physical notes of the natural beauty that surrounded me. This connection to nature and detail has stayed with me ever since.
I pursued my undergraduate degree in Interior Design at Toronto Metropolitan University, then continued my studies in Heritage Conservation at the Willowbank School of Restoration Arts in Queenston, Ontario. My passion for design has always been deeply rooted in historical architecture, and this interest has guided both my academic and creative paths.
Throughout my education and professional life, I’ve never stopped making art. I’ve explored various mediums—gouache, acrylic, and watercolour—but it was oil painting that truly captured me. My work reflects my love for nature, architecture, and the quiet beauty found in everyday moments.
Currently, I work full-time as a Project Facilitator, and I continue to paint whenever I can. Outside of painting, I enjoy reading, gardening, and spending time outdoors. I recently completed my first half marathon, and also practice yoga, play soccer, and love hiking.
A few things that bring me joy: the colour green, old buildings, Norah Jones, rabbits, high tea, cozy interiors, pretty stationery, pottery, the beach, and curling up with a good book. I love to travel, but I’m a homebody at heart—always inspired by the small details that make life beautiful.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my website.
